What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for a legal adviser?
Following breakdown in marriage we arranged an Introduction to Family Mediation and then progressed via Mediation in Insole Court in Cardiff. Despite the finances being reasonably complex we felt confident dealing with a very experienced solicitor Mediator.
We realised if we committed to the Family Mediation process it would cost a fraction of the amount of the vast legal costs involved with combative individual solicitors and probable lengthy court hearings. Of course we researched other heavily promoted services but did not want mediators based in other geographical locations who have no legal experience or qualification and only offer an online service.

Yes everything was formally agreed to the surprise and possible envy of some of our friends and relatives.
What could they have done better?
Nothing. That said we were probably quite civilised and not a " warring couple". We were both keen to move things on. We still needed an experienced Mediator to guide us through the Family Mediation and our own best Dispute Resolution outcome.
